Mr. Günter Hujara in his annual visit to Zagreb/Sljeme // 16:43 | 21.07.2010.
Mr. Günter Hujara, chief race director for the men's Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup races, has also in this year decided to combine his summer holiday in Croatia with his regular annual visit to the "Crveni spust" FIS World Cup slalom race course in Zagreb/Sljeme (CRO).
After the technical inspection on the course, Mr. Hujara has also held a brief press-conference for Croatian media, in which he was joined by the mayor of the City of Zagreb, Mr. Milan Bandic, fresh elected president of the Croatian Ski Association and "Vip Snow Queen Trophy" Zagreb/Sljeme World Cup slalom races Organizing Committee chairman, Mr. Miho Glavic, just as by the director for alpine skiing in Croatian Ski Association and "Vip Snow Queen Trophy" races operative director, Mr. Vedran Pavlek.


On the press conference general details concerning the organization of the races were once more discussed. And with his general compliments to the organizers of the races for good organization, and to the City of Zagreb for financial and logistical support of the event, Mr. Hujara has once more called for the increasing of water capacities on Mt. Sljeme and "Crveni spust" race course to take place as soon as possible. All in order to ensure even more stable and from the weather conditions independent course snow preparation for Zagreb/Sljeme's early January World Cup races.


"Vip Snow Queen Trophy" Audi FIS Ski World Cup slalom races in Zagreb/Sljeme are in 2011 taking place on 4th and 6th January. And for the first time in the same year, both ladies' slalom on 4th, and men's slalom on 6th January, are going to take place as night events.
